17,000 Kalashnikov Rifles Missing After 44-Day War, Says Interior Minister

After the 44-day war in Artsakh, 17,000 Kalashnikov rifles have gone missing. This was stated by the Minister of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Armenia, Vahe Ghazaryan, during a press conference summarizing the year 2023.

“The issue related to weapons and ammunition is concerning for us. We declared 2023 as the year for combating illegal circulation of ammunition, and we have quite interesting results,” said the Minister.

Ghazaryan noted that the discovery of these arms and ammunition falls under the responsibilities of law enforcement. He admitted that the situation is quite alarming.
