Current Leadership is Taking Armenia as Far from Russia as Possible - Kosachev
Currently, a negative dynamic is observed in Armenia's relations with Russia. This was stated by Konstantin Kosachev, the Deputy Chairman of the Federation Council of the Russian Federation and a member of its International Affairs Committee, during an interview on Sputnik radio.
“Relations with Armenia have a clear negative dynamic. Everything is visible to the naked eye. The current leadership of Armenia is taking the country as far from Russia as possible... I think this is, nonetheless, a temporary situation in the life of our neighbors because it will be very difficult for Armenia without normal, friendly relations with Russia,” he said.
According to him, Armenia's hopes that new Western partners will take care of them appear to be very illusory.
