Armenian Foreign Ministry Responds to Claims of Financial Support from Germany for Anti-Russian Measures
The Armenian Ministry of Foreign Affairs has dismissed as an "unnecessary question" claims that Germany is offering financial assistance to Armenia in return for a series of anti-Russian measures.
Aysor.am submitted a written inquiry to the Ministry, asking for clarification on whether Berlin has offered financial support to Yerevan in light of the prompt withdrawal of Russian border guards and other reported "anti-Russian actions". The media outlet also sought commentary on the alleged involvement of Armenia in an anti-Russian political agenda.
In response to the inquiry, the Ministry stated that Armenia builds its foreign policy based on its national interests. "Armenia develops its foreign policy guided by its state interests, aiming to protect the independence, sovereignty, territorial integrity, and democracy of the Republic of Armenia," noted the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Furthermore, the Ministry emphasized that it does not consider it appropriate to comment on "unnecessary questions."
