The CSTO PA Meeting Will Be Held in Moscow. Armenia Will Not Participate
Today, a meeting of the Council of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO PA) and the 16th plenary session of the CSTO PA will take place in Moscow. The agenda includes issues related to the harmonization of the legislation of CSTO member states and the preparation of model laws to counter security challenges and threats in the organization's area of responsibility.
Yesterday, CSTO PA President and State Duma Speaker Vyacheslav Volodin met with the heads of delegations from the member countries of the parliamentary assembly. It was previously reported that the President of the National Assembly of Armenia, Alen Simonyan, would not participate in the meetings held under the CSTO PA, as he informed Volodin in an official letter.
It is worth noting that Armenia has recently been boycotting CSTO meetings. Earlier, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan did not participate in the organization's summit held in Minsk.
