Azerbaijan Again Presents Territory of Armenia as 'Western Azerbaijan'

Azerbaijan expert Tatevik Hayrapetyan has reported on her Telegram channel that the Azerbaijani state television "AZ.TV" has once again referred to the territory of the Republic of Armenia as "Western Azerbaijan" in its Sunday broadcast.

"In Yerevan, the tomb of the Turkmen Karakoyunlu time giant is presented as 'Azerbaijani'. I set aside the fact that the neighboring adversaries are confused regarding their origins—whether Albanian, Turkic, or otherwise. They claim whatever suits their narrative, as fundamentally, their policy revolves around stealing from their neighbors. But this is not new. The deeper issue is that the theme of 'Western Azerbaijan' is a clear state policy, and it is presented through state television on a daily basis, with Azerbaijanis being consistently indoctrinated with territorial claims against the Republic of Armenia. Just as aggressively as the Armenian state propaganda machine promotes the renunciation of Artsakh and our roots, the Azerbaijani propaganda machine calls for territorial aggressive aspirations towards Armenia," she wrote.
