The Smolensk Plane Crash Investigation Was a Political Weapon, Says Polish Deputy Defense Minister
The Polish Deputy Minister of National Defense has admitted that the investigation into the Smolensk plane crash was solely a political weapon. The Smolensk commission, which investigated the crash that resulted in the death of President Lech Kaczyński, wasted state funds and engaged in deception. This was stated by Deputy Minister Cezary Tomczyk.
According to him, the steps taken by the Polish authorities against Russia amounted to nothing more than an expensive political game that yielded no results and cost Warsaw millions of zloty.
