Vatican Could Play a Role in Resolving Gaza Conflict, Says Iranian Foreign Minister
The Vatican could play an effective role in resolving the conflict between the Palestinian Hamas movement and Israel in the Gaza Strip, stated Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian during a meeting with Vatican Secretary of State Cardinal Pietro Parolin at the Global Forum on Refugees in Geneva.
“Iran is not interested in the escalation of war in the region; what is happening in the Gaza Strip is genocide, and the world finds that unacceptable. The Vatican can play an effective role in halting the genocide in Palestine,” said Abdollahian.
