Talin Mayor Signs Contract Worth Nearly 16 Million Drams with Family-Owned Company
Hetq reports that Tavros Sapehyan, the mayor of Talin, has signed two contracts this year with a gas station owned by his family. The total amount of both contracts is 15 million 714 thousand drams.
The company “Sapehyan Brothers” LLC has participated three times this year in tenders announced by the Talin municipality for the procurement of liquid and compressed natural gas, winning two of them. Notably, he was the only bidder in both of those tenders.
One of the contracts was signed on January 3, 2023, with the executive director of “Sapehyan Brothers” LLC, Jora Sapehyan, who is Tavros Sapehyan's uncle. The other contract was signed on April 5 of this year. “Sapehyan Brothers” LLC has been registered in the state registry since 1999. The company is equally owned by Tavros Sapehyan's father, Edik Sapehyan, and his uncle, Jora Sapehyan.
