Armenia and Azerbaijan Call on the International Community
The governments of the Republic of Armenia and the Republic of Azerbaijan have issued a joint statement calling on the international community to support the efforts of both parties to achieve peace. In the statement, it was expressed: "The Republic of Armenia and the Republic of Azerbaijan agree that there is a historic opportunity to achieve the long-awaited peace in the region. Both states reaffirm their intention to regulate relations based on respect for the principles of sovereignty and territorial integrity and to reach a peace agreement.
The Republic of Armenia and the Republic of Azerbaijan will continue their discussions regarding the implementation of more confidence-building measures in the near future and call on the international community to support their efforts, which will contribute to the building of mutual trust between the two states and will have a positive impact on the entire South Caucasus region."
