Papikyan and French Defense Minister Meeting to Finalize Arms Acquisition Agreement
The Minister of Armed Forces of France, Sébastien Lecornu, met with his Armenian counterpart, Minister of Defense Suren Papikyan, to finalize an arms acquisition agreement. This was reported by the French Ministry of Armed Forces.
It is noted that the agreement will enable Armenia to protect its civilian population and secure its borders.
Previously, it was reported that at the invitation of the French Defense Minister, Suren Papikyan traveled to the French Republic on a working visit on October 22. This information was provided by the Armenian Ministry of Defense.
It is worth recalling that French Defense Minister Sébastien Lecornu stated that Paris and Yerevan are set to formalize agreements for the purchase of French weapons, particularly in the field of air defense.
