Erdogan Sets Condition for Improving Relations with Armenia
Turkey is prepared to develop its relations with Armenia, conditional upon the opening of the so-called 'Zangezur Corridor'. This was announced by the country's President Recep Tayyip Erdogan in Ankara, according to local media.
"I would like to emphasize once again that we are ready to gradually develop our relations with the Armenian leadership if it starts to fulfill its promises. Specifically, this is about the opening of the 'Zangezur Corridor'," he stated.
Erdogan also highlighted that the opening of this so-called corridor is the first thing he would like to emphasize. He did not specify what other steps Ankara expects from Armenia.
