Armenian Foreign Ministry Expresses Condolences to the People of Afghanistan Over Devastating Earthquake
The Armenian Ministry of Foreign Affairs has expressed its deepest condolences to the people of Afghanistan affected by the devastating earthquake that struck the country's western provinces. This statement was released on the ministry's social media platform.
“We hope that the families and loved ones of the victims will find the strength to overcome the tragedy caused by this natural disaster,” the statement reads.
On October 7, an earthquake with a magnitude of 6.4 struck western Afghanistan, resulting in over 2,000 fatalities and injuring more than 9,000 individuals.
It is worth noting that the region near Herat, which is home to approximately 272,000 people, experienced tremors ranging from 4.7 to 6.3 in magnitude, with a reported death toll of 2,400.
