Armenia Needs a New Military Partner: Vahagn Khachaturyan on France
“Armenia needs a new military partner and is discussing the provision of military assistance with France,” said Armenian President Vahagn Khachaturyan during an appearance on France 2 television, as reported by TASS.
“We need a new military partner. France has steadfastly promised to support us, and consultations are currently underway. Our goal is to defend ourselves and stop Azerbaijan's ambitions, as the ultimate goal is to live in peace,” he stated.
It is worth noting that earlier, during a press conference in Yerevan, French Foreign Minister Catherine Colonna had announced that France is ready to sign a military assistance agreement with Armenia.
