Baku Sentences Bako Sahakyan, Arkadi Ghukasyan, and David Ishkhanyan to Four Months of Imprisonment
The former presidents of Artsakh, Arkadi Ghukasyan and Bako Sahakyan, along with the President of the Artsakh National Assembly, David Ishkhanyan, have been sentenced to four months of imprisonment as a precautionary measure. This information has been reported by Azerbaijani media.
It is noteworthy that the former officials were arrested by employees of the Azerbaijani State Security Service and transferred to Baku, where they have been charged under various articles of the Azerbaijani Penal Code.
Earlier, Azerbaijani border guards detained former Prime Minister and philanthropist Ruben Vardanyan, former Armed Forces Commander Levon Mnatsakanyan, former Deputy Commander Davit Manukyan, former Foreign Minister David Babayan, Artsakh National Assembly President David Ishkhanyan, and former presidents Arkadi Ghukasyan, Bako Sahakyan, and Arayik Harutyunyan as they crossed the Hakari Bridge.
