A Registration Center for Displaced Persons Opens in Vayk, Says Gnel Sanosyan
A registration center has also opened in Vayk, considering the influx of people relocating from Artsakh, Gnel Sanosyan, the Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructures, told reporters from Kornidzor.
The minister also noted that as soon as Artsakh residents reach Armenia, they are provided with food and fuel as needed until they are transferred to the designated temporary shelters.
“A considerable number are still in the process of registration and documentation. In recent hours, we have added Vayk, and some of our compatriots are going there after receiving first aid and proceeding with their registration. We have also published and will continue to publish contact details of working groups in all communities, so if they have not completed the full registration, they can do so in their respective communities and later benefit from various state supports. This is the first center, but we will carry out more detailed registration in each community,” he explained.
“We are also gathering information on available rental apartments, which can be used for housing, and the regional administrations are simultaneously updating the databases. Our compatriots will not be left homeless; we will place them temporarily in hotels, guesthouses, private houses, and state buildings, and later continue with long-term plans. The issue of food has been resolved at all centers, and we are addressing the fuel supply in border areas. Additionally, we have gas stations in Goris and Tegh, where drivers can refuel,” he added.
