We Have a Historic Opportunity to Sign a Peace Treaty, It Can Be Signed in Granada
I personally believe that we are very close and have a historic opportunity to sign a peace treaty, and I want to emphasize that opening these routes is a priority for us. Armenia is open to providing roads and even railways. This was stated by the President of the National Assembly Alen Simonyan during a broadcast on Public Television.
“We would very much like to take a step forward in Granada, to seize this historical chance; eternal war benefits no one,” he said.
He reminded that on June 15, with the participation of Charles Michel, it was documented that the countries recognize each other's territorial integrity. The processes are to occur based on the Alma-Ata Agreement, and the opening of communications should be carried out on the basis of maintaining the countries' sovereignty, which can serve as a basis for reaching an agreement.
