«No one can say that for now»: Peskov on the withdrawal of Russian peacekeepers from Artsakh
Russian peacekeepers will continue to remain in Karabakh, but it is still early to talk about the duration of their presence in the region. This was stated by Dmitry Peskov, the press secretary of the President of the Russian Federation, as reported by TASS.
“No one can say that for now,” Peskov responded to the question of whether Russian peacekeepers would remain in Karabakh in the foreseeable future.
“They are currently actually located on the territory of Azerbaijan. We continue our communications with Baku, the peacekeepers are providing assistance and are present at the negotiations that have already started between the Armenians of Karabakh and the Azerbaijani authorities. This work is ongoing,” emphasized Peskov.
