Azerbaijani Troops Moving Toward the Center of Stepanakert: Alexander Lapshin
Seven months in prison in Azerbaijan, Russian and Israeli citizen, blogger Alexander Lapshin has reported on Facebook that Azerbaijani troops are moving toward the center of Stepanakert.
“I am being informed that Azerbaijani troops have entered Stepanakert and are slowly, with stops, moving toward the city center from several directions on foot and in armored vehicles. They are encountering no resistance, as Armenian forces are forced to adhere to the ceasefire agreements in Evlakh. Moreover, Russian peacekeepers are not stopping them.
The objective set by the Azerbaijani command is to raise the Azerbaijani flag over the Artsakh National Assembly either this evening or tomorrow. As I understand it, this group of Azerbaijani troops has received a strict order not to fire on the peaceful residents of Stepanakert, fearing the presence of a large number of witnesses.”
