Meeting in Yevlakh Has Concluded
The meeting between the delegations of Azerbaijan and Artsakh has concluded in Yevlakh, Azerbaijani media reports.
It is known that from the Artsakh side, David Melkumyan, a member of the Artsakh National Assembly representing the Democratic Party of Artsakh, participated in the negotiations. The Azerbaijani side was represented by MP Ramin Mammadov, according to local media.
In March, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev appointed him as the person responsible for communication with the Armenian residents of Artsakh. Notably, Mammadov was born in Artsakh, in the city of Martakert.
It is also recalled that it was announced yesterday that the authorities of the Republic of Artsakh have accepted the proposal from the command of the Russian peacekeeping mission regarding the cessation of hostilities. An agreement has been reached to:
- withdraw the remaining armed forces of the Republic of Armenia from the [territory of] Artsakh to the zone of deployment of Russian peacekeeping troops,
- fully disarm the armed formations of the “Artsakh Defense Army,”
- remove heavy equipment and weapons from the territory of Nagorno-Karabakh for their prompt disposal.
