Macron Calls on Aliyev to 'Ensure Rights and Security of Artsakh Residents'
A phone conversation was held at the initiative of the French side between French President Emmanuel Macron and Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, according to AFP, citing a statement from the Élysée Palace.
“Macron condemned Azerbaijan's decision to use force in Artsakh, which has exacerbated the humanitarian crisis and jeopardized efforts towards achieving a fair and sustainable peace,” the agency reported.
The French president urged Baku to “ensure the rights and security of the residents of Artsakh.”
