More than 7000 people evacuated from Askeran, Martakert, Martuni, and Shushi regions: Artsakh Ombudsman
More than 7000 people have been evacuated from 16 civilian communities in the Askeran, Martakert, Martuni, and Shushi regions of Nagorno-Karabakh. This was announced by the Ombudsman of Artsakh, Gegham Stepanyan, on his microblog on X.
Previously, former Artsakh Prime Minister Artak Beglaryan had addressed the assessments regarding the number of evacuees due to Azerbaijani aggression. He stated, “My rough and unofficial estimate shows that more than 4000 Artsakh residents have been evacuated from their communities due to Azerbaijan's genocidal aggression. Six communities have been completely evacuated, while others have been partially evacuated. The number is increasing,” he wrote on his microblog on X.
