Ukrainian Rada Committee Approves Rustem Umerov's Nomination as Minister of Defense
The Defense Committee of the Ukrainian Verkhovna Rada has supported the nomination of Rustem Umerov for the position of Minister of Defense. This was reported by Ukrainian parliament member Yaroslav Zheleznyak on his Telegram channel.
The former head of the ministry, Oleksiy Reznikov, had submitted his resignation the day before. The former Minister of Defense was given a warm farewell with applause in the Ukrainian Parliament.
Earlier today, President Volodymyr Zelensky presented Rustem Umerov's candidacy for the role of Minister of Defense to the Verkhovna Rada.
