Azerbaijan's Aggressions Against Armenia's Territorial Integrity Are a Continuation of Its Political Strategy – Nikol Pashinyan
Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan addressed the recent Azerbaijani aggression towards the Gegharkunik region on his social media page. “Today, Azerbaijani armed forces have attacked Armenian military positions located in the direction of Sotk and Norabak using drones and mortars, resulting in the death of 3 servicemen and injuries to 2 others. The assaults on Armenia's territorial integrity, which are coupled with warlike rhetoric, are a continuation of Azerbaijan's political strategy,” wrote Pashinyan.
This morning, the Ministry of Defense of Armenia announced that the enemy, having disseminated misinformation since August 31 to create an informational basis for another provocation, opened intense fire on Armenian positions located in the Sotk area starting at 07:50 on September 1. Previously, it was reported that the Ministry of Defense had released the names of the servicemen who were killed as a result of the Azerbaijani provocation.
Just moments ago, the Ministry of Defense received a new report from doctors confirming that after repeated intensive resuscitation efforts, the heartbeat of Narek Karen Poghosyan has been restored. “The Ministry of Defense removes the name of Narek Karen Poghosyan from the previous report and requests forgiveness from the public and the serviceman‘s family,” stated the Ministry of Defense.
