Direct Dialogue Between Armenia and Azerbaijan is Necessary: Matthew Miller
In response to a question from News regarding Azerbaijan's aggression towards Armenia yesterday, Matthew Miller, spokesperson for the U.S. Department of State, stated: "We have seen the reports and we express our sincere condolences to the families of the victims. We have consistently stated that direct dialogue between Armenia and Azerbaijan is necessary for the resolution of this long-standing conflict. There can be no military solution to the conflict, and the use of force to resolve disputes is unacceptable. The United States remains committed to promoting a peaceful and prosperous future for the South Caucasus region."
