KP Lawmakers Given New Assignment: 'Hraparak'
KP lawmakers have been instructed to participate in the Yerevan city council elections campaign as a united front. This information is reported by the newspaper 'Hraparak'.
“In particular, those elected from the capital are required to go around their administrative districts and engage in conversations with the residents. However, they have been directed not to praise their own list and candidate as much as to criticize their opponents,” the media outlet writes.
According to the newspaper, the main competitors of Yerevan's Vice Mayor Tigran Avinyan from KP are seen as Mane Tandilyan from the 'Living Land' party and former mayor Hayk Marutyan, with a particular directive from above to be merciless regarding the latter.
The media reports that the official start of the campaign is set for August 23, with the lawmakers' recess ending on August 25, but this is of no significance as they are expected to begin working from the 23rd without delay.
