No Changes After Security Council Meeting at the UN
There has been no change in the situation along the Kornidzor border area even after the emergency meeting of the UN Security Council. For the 23rd day, 22 trucks carrying humanitarian aid are waiting at the entrance to Nagorno-Karabakh. Vardan Sargsyan, a representative of the working group on humanitarian crisis management in Nagorno-Karabakh, stated this in an interview with "News."
It has been nearly three weeks that approximately 400 tons of humanitarian aid have been waiting under the scorching sun to reach the population of Nagorno-Karabakh, here near the Hakar Bridge, in the Kornidzor village border area. So far, the goods have been kept from spoiling. The products that require a special thermal regime for preservation are located in trucks equipped with automatic cooling systems.
The humanitarian crisis in Nagorno-Karabakh was also acknowledged during the UN Security Council meeting on August 16.
