Call for US to Pressure Azerbaijan at UN Security Council
The Chairman of the U.S. Senate Foreign Relations Committee, Bob Menendez, and Senator Alex Padilla have sent an official letter to the U.S. Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Linda Thomas-Greenfield, regarding the issue of Nagorno-Karabakh, as reported on Menendez's Twitter page.
They urged the U.S. Permanent Representative to work with all members of the UN Security Council to exert pressure on the Azerbaijani government to lift the blockade of Nagorno-Karabakh and to prevent systematic efforts aimed at the ethnic cleansing of the population in Nagorno-Karabakh.
