Lukashenko: Belarus Will Never Enter Hot War If Ukrainians Do Not Invade Our Borders
Diana Panchenko asked Belarusian leader Alexander Lukashenko if there are circumstances under which Belarus could fully enter the war with Ukraine.
“If the Ukrainians do not cross our border, we will never participate in this hot war,” Lukashenko responded.
“But we will always help Russia. They are our allies. You yourself know that 55 countries are assisting Ukraine with military equipment and ammunition, while only Belarus explicitly helps Russia,” he added.
Panchenko also noted that it is often heard in Ukraine that Vladimir Putin is urging the Belarusian president to involve the country in the war.
“That is complete nonsense, do you know why? Because apart from a 70,000-strong army, it won't provide anything else,” the head of state emphasized.
