Spanish Real Sociedad Once Again Interested in Tigranyan's Services

The Spanish club Real Sociedad is once again interested in the services of Armenia national team defender Nair Tigranyan, who currently plays for Lokomotiv. The Spanish club has been monitoring the performances of the Armenian national team player, as reported by Metaratings.ru.

“After the matches against Wales and Latvia, the player's value has increased... Recently, Real Sociedad has reignited its interest in Tigranyan, and the club is closely following the player,” the publication states, adding that previously the Spanish club was willing to pay 2 million euros for the player's transfer.

In June, scouts from Italian clubs Bologna and Empoli also monitored Tigranyan's game, but they were not prepared to pay more than 2.5 million euros.

The publication also notes that earlier Lokomotiv rejected an offer from the German club Werder Bremen to buy Tigranyan for 2.5 million euros. The German club is still not ready to make a new offer.

It is worth mentioning that media have reported interest in Tigranyan from Spain’s Real Sociedad, Valencia, as well as Germany’s Wolfsburg. In early March, Tigranyan was invited to the Armenian national team's training camp. The Lokomotiv defender has obtained Armenian citizenship. Tigranyan transferred to Lokomotiv from CSKA in 2021 and has played for the Russian youth team, participating in seven matches.
