The West Hypocritically Blames Us for the Global Food Market Crisis: Putin
The grain deal included commitments to lift unjust restrictions on the supply of Russian grains and fertilizers to global markets, but none of Russia's conditions have been met. This was stated by Russian President Vladimir Putin during a speech at the plenary session of the Russia-Africa Economic and Humanitarian Forum.
“A strange picture is emerging. On one hand, Western countries are obstructing our grain and fertilizer supplies, and on the other, they hypocritically blame us for the crisis in the global food market,” said Putin.
He expressed willingness to support African countries in the implementation of advanced agricultural technologies. According to the Russian President, in the future, Africa can not only feed itself but also become a food exporter, and Russia will assist in this matter.
“We are ready to expand the network of Russian trade representations operating in Africa, increase the number of allies in economics, as well as in agriculture, education, science, and information and communication technologies,” said Putin.
