The Farmer Did Not Stand in Front of the Broken Trough: Ijevan Municipality
The Ijevan Municipality has released a statement:
“The information circulating on the internet suggesting that a farmer stood in front of a broken trough waiting for the harvest is not true. We inform that the commission for assessing the damages from the hail has thus far received 120 applications from citizens.
The majority of the applications concern the collapse of roofs of apartment buildings and individual residential houses, as well as flooding of apartments. The hail occurred in Ijevan city and in certain areas of the Gndzakar community. The rural areas of the enlarged Ijevan community were not affected by the hail.
The applications regarding the damage to gardens pertain to small plots of land adjacent to houses in Ijevan city. If we are referring to the hail that occurred on June 19, 2023, in Ijevan, then the circulated information about the farmer standing in front of a broken trough waiting for the harvest is not true.”
