11-Year-Old Child Electrocuted While Playing Hide and Seek

On June 6, the Investigation Committee of Armenia received a report from the Police regarding the death of an 11-year-old girl from the Pambak community in the Lori region, who was transported to the Vanadzor Medical Center at approximately 5:50 PM on the same day.

It was established that the child died around 5 PM in a playground located in the village of Debed, Lori region. Following this incident, a criminal case was initiated on June 6 by the Lori regional investigative department under part 1 of Article 165 of the Criminal Code of Armenia. The child's father has been recognized as the victim.

During the investigation, it was found that the 11-year-old girl was playing hide and seek with other children in the playground around 4 PM. While hiding under a table in the playground, she came into contact with the electrical wires from a lighting column, resulting in her electrocution and subsequent death.

The investigation has included examinations of the scene and the body. Forensic and electrical technical expertise has been appointed, and operational investigative measures have been mandated. Several witnesses have been interrogated. The investigation is ongoing, with necessary investigative and procedural actions being implemented to clarify the objective circumstances of this tragic incident.
