Russian FSB Accuses Apple of Aiding American Intelligence
The Russian Federal Security Service (FSB) has accused the American company Apple of participating in U.S. intelligence operations through a viral program, reports TAC.
It was noted that the FSB, in collaboration with the Russian National Guard, identified "anomalies that are characteristic only of Apple mobile phone users" and a software virus that exploits "vulnerabilities intended by the manufacturer." According to the FSB, several thousand mobile phones have been infected, including those of employees of Russia's diplomatic missions abroad.
The FSB believes this evidence supports the claim that Apple is closely cooperating with the U.S. National Security Agency, and that the company’s privacy policies do not align with reality. "The company provides U.S. special services with extensive opportunities to monitor not only individuals of interest to the White House, including their partners in anti-Russian activities, but also its own citizens," the agency's statement said.
