Snow Cover Reaches 15-20 cm in Certain Settlements

As predicted, due to the influx of Arctic cold air masses, heavy snowfall was observed last night in several regions of the republic, particularly in Gegharkunik, Vayots Dzor, and the mountainous areas of Syunik, with air temperatures in certain settlements approaching 0 degrees Celsius. The height of the snow cover in certain settlements of these regions has reached 15-20 cm.

Today, precipitation is expected to persist in certain areas during the day, while dry weather is forecasted across all regions on May 16 and 17. However, starting May 18, rain and thunderstorms are again expected in several regions.

Beginning tomorrow afternoon, warm air masses will penetrate Armenia, and air temperatures during the day on May 16, 17, and 18 will gradually increase by 6-8 degrees compared to today.
