VIDEO: France's Foreign Minister in Jermuk

France's Foreign Minister Catherine Colonna is in Jermuk. This was reported by Armenpress.

The Chief of Staff of the Armenian Armed Forces, Edward Asryan, highly appreciated the work of the European Union monitoring mission in Armenia.

"I definitely appreciate the EU monitoring work in the Republic of Armenia. This work makes the Azerbaijani armed forces feel more restrained. So the operation along Armenia's borders is going well," Asryan stated.

The French Foreign Minister also noted that the cooperation between Armenia and the EU monitoring mission is very positive: "This work gives us positive results. It allows us to gather information from the ground that is useful for the EU member states. This is a monitoring mission, not an armed mission, and its purpose is simply to observe the situation; however, nonetheless, this presence allows for a reduction in tensions," Catherine Colonna said.
