Ukrainian Army Currently Unable to Launch Counteroffensive in Eastern Direction, Says Zelensky

The Ukrainian army is currently unable to launch a counteroffensive in the eastern direction due to a lack of necessary weapons. This was stated by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky in an interview with the Japanese newspaper Yomiuri.

“Without tanks, artillery, and HIMARS, we cannot send our brave soldiers to the front lines,” Zelensky noted. He also pointed out a serious shortage of ammunition, emphasizing that Kyiv is currently awaiting supplies from its partners.

Regarding the possibility of resuming peaceful negotiations between Ukraine and Russia, Zelensky mentioned that “absolutely no conditions have been created for that.” He also expressed skepticism about the peace plan proposed by China.
