Excavators Get Stuck in Mud While Cleaning Lake Bed in Almaty

Excavators have become stuck in the mud at Lake Sairan in Almaty while attempting to clean the lake bed, reports Tengrinews.kz’s correspondent. A video circulating on social media shows that three excavators have been unable to free themselves from the filthy sludge.

According to the Department of Ecology and Environmental Management, the ground has softened due to a sharp increase in temperature and the volume of melting water.
