Photos: Zareh Sinanyan Meets with Armenian Community in Syria
During a working visit to Syria, the Commissioner for Diaspora Affairs of the Republic of Armenia, Zareh Sinanyan, held a meeting with religious and community leaders of the Armenian community in Damascus. The information was reported by the press service of the Armenian embassy in Syria.
"During the meeting, the challenges faced by the Armenian community were discussed in detail, particularly in light of the devastating earthquake on February 6," the statement said.
Community representatives presented Sinanyan with the situation that arose after the disaster, as well as the ongoing efforts to overcome it.
A key topic of discussion was the cooperation between Armenia and the Diaspora. The Commissioner for Diaspora Affairs and community representatives addressed the prospects for further expanding and developing this cooperation.
