US Secretary of State's Senior Advisor Louis Bono Arrives in Yerevan Following Azerbaijan Visit
Louis Bono, the US Secretary of State's Senior Advisor for negotiations in the South Caucasus and the newly appointed American co-chair of the OSCE Minsk Group, has arrived in Armenia today, March 7. This was reported by the US Embassy in Armenia.
In connection with this, the US Embassy issued a statement noting, “The US Embassy in Armenia will host Senior Advisor Louis Bono in Yerevan. On March 7, Bono will meet with Armenian officials and others to discuss the United States' support for comprehensive peace in the Armenian-Azerbaijani negotiations, including a lasting political resolution to the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.”
As a Senior Advisor on Caucasus issues, Mr. Bono works with regional leaders to advance the peace process between Armenia and Azerbaijan and address the ongoing occupation of Georgia's sovereign territory by Russia.
