Discussion on Opening New Russian Schools in Armenia
The newspaper "Hraparak" reports: "Recent consistent steps by the Armenian authorities towards changing the foreign policy vector have raised concerns among Russian officials. Various emissaries are being dispatched to Armenia; we have been informed that they are trying to form a new, more viable opposition unit that could be used against Nikol Pashinyan's government if necessary.
Evidence of the active Russian factor is also reflected in the recent meeting of Sergey Kopirkin, the Russian Ambassador to Armenia, with the directors of Yerevan schools bearing the names of well-known Russian figures. Sergei Kopirkin informed the directors that the issue of opening new Russian schools in Armenia is under discussion. A working group has already been established to address matters related to supporting education in the Russian language."
