US Ambassador Called to Turkey's Foreign Ministry
The US Ambassador to Turkey, Jeff Flake, has been summoned to the country's Foreign Ministry in connection with the visit of General Mark Milley, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff of the United States Armed Forces, to Syria, according to TASS, citing its diplomatic sources.
Earlier, the official Damascus condemned the visit of the highest-ranking American military official, General Milley, to the Kurdish-dominated areas in northern Syria. General Milley had made an unannounced visit to one of the American military bases located in northern Syria on Saturday, March 4.
