The Lachin Corridor Must Remain Open: US Diplomat's Statement in Baku
During a press briefing with journalists in Baku, Luis Bono, the senior adviser on South Caucasus issues at the US Department of State, stated that the Lachin corridor must remain open for the movement of residents.
"We acknowledge that security concerns exist; however, essential goods and civilian supplies must be transported and made accessible to the population of Artsakh. Our ultimate goal and challenge is to put an end to the suffering of both Azerbaijanis and Armenians, as well as to foster peaceful coexistence between these two peoples," he emphasized.
