U.S. Comments on Meeting Between Representatives of Stepanakert and Baku

The United States has welcomed the recent meeting between representatives of Stepanakert and Baku, according to TURAN agency.

“We welcome the cooperation between the government of Azerbaijan and representatives of the population of Nagorno-Karabakh,” said a spokesperson for the State Department in response to the agency's inquiry.

“We hope that all parties will continue to develop and maintain effective channels of communication,” the spokesperson added, noting that “ensuring the rights and security of the population of Nagorno-Karabakh is essential for achieving sustainable peace in the South Caucasus.”

It is noteworthy that the representatives from Artsakh and Azerbaijan met with the mediation of the command of the Russian peacekeeping forces.
