Zelensky to Attend NATO Summit Personally: Ukraine's Expectations from the Meeting Revealed
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky plans to personally attend the NATO summit scheduled for July in Vilnius. This was confirmed by the Ukrainian ambassador in Lithuania during an interview with BNS.
“Ukraine hopes that the participants of the summit will clearly agree that once the war is over, Ukraine will become a NATO member,” the ambassador stated.
It is worth noting that since the onset of the conflict in Ukraine about a year ago, Zelensky has made only two foreign trips: to Washington in December, and to London, Paris, and Brussels in February. Most of the leaders of the North Atlantic Alliance, including U.S. President Joe Biden, will be present at the summit in Vilnius on July 11-12.
