Prime Minister Pashinyan Meets New US Ambassador to Armenia
Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan received the newly appointed US Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Armenia, Christina Quinn. The Prime Minister congratulated Ms. Quinn on her appointment to this important position and expressed hope that during her tenure, Armenian-American relations would continue to develop and expand.
Pashinyan emphasized the significance of US support for the institutional reforms being implemented in the country, adding that the development and strengthening of democracy are of strategic importance for the Armenian government.
Christina Quinn thanked the Prime Minister for the warm welcome and stated that she would make every effort to effectively advance the agenda of Armenian-American cooperation. In this context, the ambassador highlighted the importance of close collaboration with the Armenian government.
At the same time, she conveyed the US administration's readiness to continue supporting the implementation of reforms in Armenia. The interlocutors also discussed the developments in the region, including the humanitarian crisis created in Nagorno-Karabakh due to the blockade of the Lachin corridor by Azerbaijan, the Armenian-Turkish process, and other issues.
