EU Advises Citizens of Member States to Refrain from Traveling to Iran
The European Union (EU) has advised citizens of its member states to refrain from traveling to Iran. This recommendation was stated by Josep Borrell, the head of the EU's External Action Service, in a statement following the meeting of EU foreign ministers on Monday.
"Due to serious risks to personal safety, EU countries advise their citizens to abstain from traveling to Iran," the text states.
The European Union also "categorically rejects the practice of arbitrary detention of EU citizens and persons holding dual nationality of EU countries and Iran," as mentioned in the document.
