Ukrainian Officials and MPs Banned from Traveling Abroad for Personal Purposes
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced this decision by the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine in a video address. According to the announcement, Ukrainian officials and MPs are prohibited from traveling abroad for personal purposes.
“If they want to take a vacation, they will have to do so outside of state service. Officials will no longer be able to travel abroad for leisure or any non-state purposes,” Zelensky stated.
The Ukrainian president added that this restriction applies to representatives of central and local authorities, as well as law enforcement officers, MPs, prosecutors, and all those who are to work for the state.
Ukrainian media have already reported that the series of resignations continues in Ukraine. Deputy Head of the President's Office Kyrylo Tymoshenko has submitted his resignation. The heads of Dnipropetrovsk, Zaporizhzhia, Kherson, and Sumy regions, as well as Ukraine's Deputy Minister of Defense Vyacheslav Shapovalov, have also resigned.
