Ararat Mirzoyan and Toivo Klaar Meet
On a working visit to Brussels, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Armenia, Ararat Mirzoyan, met with the European Union's Special Representative for the South Caucasus and the Crisis in Georgia, Toivo Klaar, and the Senior Adviser on Foreign Policy to the President of the European Council, Magdalena Grono.
The situation created by Azerbaijan's illegal blockade of the Lachin corridor was discussed. The Armenian Foreign Minister emphasized that Azerbaijan's actions and rhetoric are hindering Armenia's efforts to establish peace in the South Caucasus.
Views were exchanged on the process of normalizing Armenia-Azerbaijan relations. The parties highlighted the importance of the decision to deploy a new EU civilian monitoring mission in Armenia, noting that it would contribute to ensuring security and stability in the region.
