“We want to see it not just in words but in actions”: Cavusoglu on Pashinyan
Turkey has established trilateral and quadrilateral mechanisms for dialogue regarding the East-West corridor (the “Middle Corridor”) involving Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, and Georgia. This was stated by Turkey’s Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu during a meeting at the Turkish embassy in Washington with representatives of the Turkish community in the U.S.
“I hope that Armenia will also join this process, meaning that it will take sincere steps towards peace. Unfortunately, we have recently observed a regression in negotiations. Today, Blinken said that Pashinyan is sincere, but we want to see that not just in words but in actions,” said Cavusoglu.
“I can openly declare, including on behalf of brotherly Azerbaijan, that Ankara and Baku are sincerely inclined towards normalizing relations with Yerevan,” the Turkish foreign minister added.
