Armenian Parliament on Reports of Iran's Speaker Canceling Baku Visit and Coming to Yerevan
Reports have emerged in Azerbaijani media that Iran's parliamentary speaker, Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf, has canceled his visit to Azerbaijan and is coming to Armenia. In a conversation with Auroranews.am, the spokesperson for the Armenian parliament's president, Tsovinar Khachatryan, stated that the speaker of the Islamic Republic of Iran's parliament, Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf, was invited to Armenia by the president of the National Assembly during his visit to Iran back in June. She also added that the invitation has been accepted.
Khachatryan noted that at this moment she cannot provide any information regarding the timelines or other details.
